TERMS AND CONDITIONS This Release Agreement applies to the use of all facilities, premises and equipment and participation in all activities, programs, services or events mentioned on the UniTy Recreation Space Website, or any/all related advertising, including all participation in activity classes, fitness programs, sport clubs, sporting events, practice sessions or social activities and all other related activities (all of which are hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Programs”)
DISCLAIMER I acknowledge that UniTy Recreation Space Ltd., its directors, contractors, employees, coaches, instructors, trainers, volunteers, members and representatives, (all hereafter collectively referred to as “UniTy”), are not responsible for any injury, loss or damage of any kind sustained by any person while registered and/or participating in any and all Programs; including injury, loss or damage which might be caused by the negligence of UniTy.
ASSUMPTION OF RISKS In consideration of participation in any and all Programs, I acknowledge that I am aware of, and freely accept all risks, dangers and hazards associated with being a participant in the Programs, including the risk of severe or fatal injury to myself or others. An evening created specifically for Tweens, catering to their distinct interests and social expectations that will include activities such as Slime Making, Movie Nights, & Karaoke – just to name a few!

Kids will all get a chance to vote on 4 activites they would like to do at UniTy for this KNO, and the staff has to say yes! Bounce House?? YES! Nerf Tag?? YES! Cotton Candy?? YES YES YES!

Summer Soccer 2025

UniTy’s first ever Summer Soccer Program!

We are so excited to announce UniTy’s first ever Summer Soccer Program happening on our very own field with UniTy’s head coach Melanie Smith!

This year we will offer an “Intro to Soccer” program for three groups: U4, U7 & U10 where we will be working on basic skills in a fun and inclusive environment devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer . Our hope is to have our players gain the knowledge and skill they need this summer to create a competitive program to offer for years to come.

UniTy’s soccer program will be offered as 45 minute practices on Mondays & Thursdays from 4:00-6:35, right after our ever popular summer camp! Making transition from one program to the other a breeze for parents and extra fun for campers & soccer players!

Practice will happen rain or shine as we have an indoor space to run drills, games and and soccer based activities in the event that the field is wet or rainy weather.

SCHEDULE

Mondays & Thursdays, Starting July 7th

Little Tacklers (U7)- Birth Years -2020, 2019, 2018: 4:00-4:45pm

Mega Shooters (U10) – Birth Years 2017, 2016, 2015: 4:55-5:40pm

Mighty Minis (U4) – Birth Years 2023, 2022, 2021: 5:50-6:35pm

At the end of summer, we will have an open tournament for children in the community to create their own teams and compete for the UniTy Cup! (free with registration, added cost for non-registered players) Details to come at later date.

Cost per play is $100 for 8 weeks, plus cost of a jersey $40 (HST inlcuded). Shin pads and soccer cleats are recommended but not required.

Space is limited, so register today to secure your child’s spot! Registration opens May 16th until May 30th, or until each group is at capacity.

Payment: UniTy invoices monthly for our music lesson, one week prior to the first lesson of the month. Payment is due the day prior to first lesson of the month. Lesson payments can be made by EMT to melanie@unityrec.ca

Discontinuation Policy: Once registered, to officially withdraw, a parent/guardian must provide 2 weeks notice by emailing snorman@unityrec.ca. Verbal notification and/or non-attendance will NOT constitute discontinuation.

Absence notice: If the student will be absent for any reason, a parent/guardian must advise the music teacher directly.

UniTy is not responsible for any student’s personal possessions that may become lost, stolen, or broken while attending the program.

UniTy is excited to be welcoming Ken Diamante to our many facility offerings.

Ken is originally from the Philippines. His passion for music and the arts spans back to early childhood. He comes from a family of musicians and it wasn’t long before he became one himself. Ken started as a bassist, playing with his band in different hotels, bars, and various events all over his country. He studied music with a major in bass & piano. He then taught himself how to play the guitar and just before coming to Canada, he worked as a professional guitarist/singer together with his wife at 5-star resorts in the Maldives for almost 7 years.

In the last couple of years, Ken has really honed in on developing his piano skills and he is very excited to share his abilities with his students at UniTy!

We are thrilled to welcome Brooklyn Jerrett to our UniTy team. Brooklyn will be teaching guitar lessons at our facility as of September 2024.

Brooklyn is a high school student at Crescent Collegiate and has a passion for guitar like no other. She plays in a successful band that has played at various venues including Cavendish Beach Festival, Dildo Days, School of Rock and School concerts. Becoming a music teacher is her career ambition and we're excited to see that passion and ambition come through in her instructions at UniTy.

Our talented, piano instructor, Ken Diamante has graciously added extra guitar sessions to our schedule. As mentioned above, Ken has a passion for music since early childhood. He is self-taught guitarist. He played guitar professionally at 5-star resorts for almost 7 years.

We offer Private Guitar lessons at UniTy! 1/2 Hour Sessions run as indicated below on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays.

Registration is very limited. If your desired timeslot is unavailable, please join our waitlist – we may be able to adjust our schedule to add more sessions.
